Coach Joseph is a former player and is in his Eighth year coaching at Salpointe. Coach Joe was the assistant coach  at Salpointe with Justin Curran for his first three years and took over the helm at the end of the 2020 season. In his first FOUR years as head coach at Salpointe coach Luevano has lead the Lancers to a  94-17 overall record. The Lady Lancers have been to the State 4A Conference Championship game in three of the last four years. The team lost to the 4A power house seton catholic in 2021 70-62. Coach Luevano lead the girls back to the championship game and came out victorious with a 65-48 over the Flagstaff Eagles in 2022. Winning the Schools first ever Girls Basketball State Championship. In 2023 Coach lead the team to the Elite Eight in the open division and in 2024 The Lancers won their 2nd 4A State Championship over mesquite 59-49. Coach Luevano is here for the long hall and is ready to lead the girls to another State Championship!
